Young Inspectors

Do you want to:

  • learn new skills
  • make new friends
  • support young people with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND)

Young Inspectors is a programme for young people aged 13 to 25 with SEND to help make our services better for everyone.

As part of this programme you'll visit services for young people in the community and give them feedback on how to become more accessible.

You’ll also write questions to help us inspect our services.

The course will take place over a number of sessions where you'll learn how to be a young inspector, new skills and make new friends. You’ll get a certificate and a £50 voucher when you complete the course.

To find out more about Young Inspectors and when the next course will be, email steve.davies@stockport.gov.uk.

Young Inspectors, summer 2025

The Young Inspectors have been visiting HAF projects during the summer holidays to offer feedback on how they could be more inclusive.

The Young Inspectors programme is a co-production. It was launched as a result of young people telling us that they wanted more opportunities to learn new skills, and that they wanted activities to be more inclusive. We then collaborated with the young people to create the programme.
