In Work Progression

In Work Progression supports Stockport residents who are in work but have limited career progression opportunities. They're here to help you build your skills to support your progression.

This initiative is commissioned by the Greater Manchester Combined Authority and will support around 300 Stockport residents over a period of 2 years.

Who It’s For

The service is for:

  • people in low-paid or low-skilled jobs
  • those on zero-hour, casual, or temporary/seasonal contracts
  • the self-employed with limited earning potential
  • individuals at risk of redundancy

What we offer

We offer:

  • one-to-one coaching
  • support and guidance to build your skills
  • help with CV, interviews, and job search strategies
  • practical hands-on workshops to boost your employability

Eligibility

To use the service, you must:

  • be aged 18 or over
  • have the right to live and work in the UK
  • be a Stockport resident
