Woodbank Park

Lush green trees of the park with a Fred Perry Way Sign pointing through the parkland

Woodbank Park has lots of wide open spaces and is ideal for a leisurely stroll. It's also situated close to Vernon Park.

The park is home to Stockport Harriers Athletics Club, who manage the athletics stadium.

Walks

Woodbank Park connects with the River Goyt and the Goyt Way. The Midshires Way and the Fred Perry Way also pass through.

Peak Way Walk, a circular route of 155 miles, starts and ends in Woodbank Park.

Shorter walks include a 2km sensory walk and other walks from Vernon Park. Footpaths can lead you through Poise Brook or towards Otterspool and Bredbury.

A nature trail, which had been lost for years, has been restored by the Friends of Woodbank Park group. This trail links many of the heritage features of the park that many people do not know exists.
