Stockport libraries offer a range of services to support you. Our Learner Journey engages learners over 6 weeks to move from net novices to confident members of our online community. We also offer iPad taster sessions as a bookable service.

Learn my Way

All Stockport libraries are part of the Online Centres Network. It gives us access to Learn My Way, a web resource that supports learners in their online journey.

Learn My Way gives you the chance to develop your digital skills with free online courses for beginners. It helps you to make the most of the online world.

You can learn the basic online skills;

  • learn how to use a mouse and keyboard
  • learn about the internet
  • learn how to create and use your own email account.

Once you’ve grasped the basics, go even further and learn how to bank, shop and job hunt online. Use our wide range of short courses to help you.

BBC Webwise

BBC WebWise helps with basic internet and computer skills. This includes a range of video and written guides. This will help you get connected and make the most of your mobile, computer, tablet or interactive television.
