Employment
We want to make the current available support more accessible to help autistic people find work, and support employers to become more confident in hiring and supporting autistic individuals to help them stay in work.
What we're going to do
- signpost autistic employees, employers, and autistic individuals seeking work, to available information, support, and training
- co-produce a job profile and establish a support group for autistic employees within the council and share our model of good practice with other organisations
What will good look like?
- feedback from employers that they have a greater understanding of supporting autistic employees and making reasonable adjustments
- feedback from our autistic community that support, training and information are more accessible to help and find work
- data highlighting an increase of autistic people accessing work
- feedback from our autistic community that they feel more supported in work
