Overview
We've re-established our local Autism Partnership Board to prioritise the work set out in our first all-age autism strategy. The co-chairs of our Autism Partnership Board are:
- Heidi Shaw, Director of Family Help and Integration
- Laura Aldalou, who brings both lived experience and a relevant professional background
We've established 7 subgroups which have representatives from social care, education, housing, health, employment, criminal justice, third sector organisations, and autistic individuals, to take forward the priorities as outlined in the strategy.
Our Autism Partnership Board meets on a quarterly basis where the subgroup chairs report on the progress of our work. The board then makes decisions on the next steps for each subgroup.
The subgroups are:
- understanding and acceptance
- education
- preparation for adulthood
- employment
- health
- housing
- criminal justice system
