Waste and rubbish accumulations
We'll investigate complaints of rubbish accumulations on private land or in gardens which could be a potential nuisance to neighbours. This would result in smells or public health risks associated with rats, mice or insects.
Examples of waste materials which may result in a potential nuisance are;
- bags of household refuse
- food waste
- organic waste etc.
In such cases we'll visit the land and try to work with the owner/occupier to remove the rubbish. If this isn't successful we will serve a notice under the Environmental Protection Act 1990. This will require the removal of the waste material within a specified time period.
We offer a bulky household waste collection service where large household items can be collected from your property.
