  • stair rails if you're struggling to get up and down stairs
  • a grab rail, bath board or shower seat if you struggle with accessing your shower or bathing facilities
  • bed leavers if you struggle to get in and out of bed. We can also raise the height of the bed, and provide advice and useful tips on how to get in and out of the bed safely

  • standing aids and hoists if you struggle to stand or transfer safely, or you need someone to help you

If you care for someone you may have concerns about them moving around their home safely or getting in and out of bed at night. We can assess for monitoring telecare equipment to help reduce any risks.

Major

If you need help to get up and down stairs safely, and the addition of a stair rail does not give you enough support, we may be able to provide:

  • a stair lift
  • through floor lift
  • provision of ground floor facilities

If you need to climb steps to access your home and you're finding them difficult, and the addition of a grab rail does not give you enough support, we may be able to provide:

  • a ramp
  • step lift

If you cannot access your current showering or bathing facilities, and the addition of a bath board or grab rails does not give you enough support, we may be able to provide a level access shower.

All recommendations will be made following an assessment of your needs. The assessment will consider your ability, the environment and risk. We'll talk to you about your needs and preferences to support your independence.
