School trips during coronavirus

We're no longer taking bookings for school trips for the current academic year, 2020 to 2021.

School trip bookings are now being taken for the academic year, 2021 to 2022, beginning in September 2021. This will remain subject to government restrictions in place at the time of the visit. Capacity restrictions will remain limited to one class or bubble of 30 pupils per day.

2. How the Hall was built

Pupils will learn how Bramall Hall was constructed, both structurally and decoratively, looking at the plaster ceiling and windows.

Activities can include making a wattle and daub panel or a plaster ceiling pendant.

Learning outcomes

Pupils will learn to:

  • understand the techniques used to build Bramall Hall and buildings like it
  • have an idea of how the Hall developed throughout the 14th, 15th and 16th century
  • take part in a hands-on activity creating something related to the Hall
