Tudor experience

School trips during coronavirus

To safeguard against coronavirus, we'll be running a limited range of school trips.

From October 2020, the following school trips will be available:

All other school trips are suspended until further notice.

In order to maintain social distancing guidelines, school trips can now only accommodate up to 30 pupils per day. School groups of over 30 pupils will need to book more than one school trip.

1. Overview

This can be a full or half day trip and the maximum number of pupils is 90.

The Tudor experience trip is made up of a range of activities, subject to availability. Each activity is designed to give pupils an insight into Tudor times, and specifically the lives of the Davenport Household.

During the trip, pupils will learn about life in the Hall through a tour delivered by our trained staff. There will be a mixture of question and answer sessions and hands on activities in small groups.

If you choose a half day, choose 3 of the activities below. If you choose a full day Tudor experience, choose 5 of the activities below:

We'll do our best to provide the activities that you choose and offer alternatives for activities that are unavailable. Your preferred choices will be confirmed after you have booked.

If you'd like to book a full day session, you'll have lunch in the classrooms in the Learning Centre. If you'd like to book a half day trip, please let us know if you wish to use the Learning Centre for lunch.
