Overview

Protection orders are used to protect trees of a high amenity value or which have a significant impact on the environment. Where a Tree Preservation Order (TPO) is made, under Section 198 of the Town & Country Planning Act 199. We must identify the tree(s) protected by the order on a location plan.

It's important to note that not all trees are protected from felling, pruning or other work that would change their appearance. We can only control this type of work in certain circumstances.
