Training overview

The SSCP training programme runs from September to July each year. Visit SLA Online for more information.

You'll need to set up a username and password. Once done, you should use this to book all multi-agency courses.

Allocation of places

Places are not allocated on a first come, first served basis. Courses are short-listed and places are allocated to achieve a multi-agency representation. All participants must complete a basic awareness course, either multi-agency or from their own organisation, before attending a multi-agency topic based workshop.

Cost

Delegates who work for those agencies who do not contribute financially to the SSCP are charged to attend. The SSCP charges all delegates for non-attendance if places are not cancelled in writing by email, 3 working days before the course date. For more information, read the charging policy.

For Stockport Council, NHS and other employees

You can access the e-learning packages through our e-learning system.

The first time you use the system you’ll need to register and create your own unique username and password. Click on ‘Support and Login Options’ and then select ‘Create New Account’. Follow the on-screen instructions to activate your account.

For School, Nursery and Early Years setting employees

Organisations that are subscribed to Learning Leads can access the e-learning package through that system. Log in to the system as normal and search for ‘safeguarding’.
