Support for autistic people

This page uses identity-first language. For example, we say 'autistic people' rather than 'people with autism'. This was the preference of the autistic group we engaged with, and also aligns with research led by the National Autistic Society. We do accept, however, that some people prefer the term 'person with autism'.
