Changes to bin collections in Stockport
Green bins
We'll continue to collect food waste from your green bin but you'll need to buy a permit if you'd like to use your green bin to recycle garden waste. Find more information on our garden waste webpage.
Coming soon: other collection changes
The day of the week you put your bin out will not change but there will be collection changes from Monday 26 May 2025. Updated calendars up to September 2026 will be online at the end of the month and delivered soon.
