Looking after your child’s teeth is very important to prevent tooth decay. The best ways to look after your child’s teeth are to:

  • brush their teeth twice a day with fluoride toothpaste
  • avoid sugary snacks and sugar sweetened drinks; the only safe drinks for teeth are milk and water
  • take your child to the dentist every 6 months
