What you need to become a provider
To be a provider, you must:
- be aged over 25
- be resilient, patient, caring and empathic
- be able to provide warm, secure and friendly accommodation
Individuals who can provide a room come from a variety of backgrounds, as do the young people themselves. With our help, we'll find someone who's right for you.
If you decide someone isn’t right for you, we'll suggest someone else. Even if they've moved in and things don’t work out for whatever reason, we'll try our best to find someone more suitable.
Training and support
No experience or qualifications are needed. We'll provide regular training and support, as well as financial assistance.
You and the young person will receive support from a social worker and/or a Supported Lodgings Co-ordinator during their stay with you, giving you regular support.
