The supported lodgings scheme finds accommodation for young people who are at risk of becoming homeless for a variety of reasons.
The supported lodgings scheme is a stepping stone to independence. Young people on the scheme are supported to learn skills that we take for granted, such as:
- budgeting
- cooking
- cleaning
- washing
- staying safe and healthy
This will help them to become independent and eventually manage in their own homes.
We're looking for people aged over 25, who are resilient, patient and tolerant. You must be able to provide warm, secure and friendly accommodation for:
- young people aged between 16 and 17 who are at risk
- care leavers aged between 18 and 21
- young people aged 16 and over who are seeking asylum
We'll provide regular support to the providers. Each young person will receive support from a social worker or a support worker during their stay with you.
