2. Supplementary Planning Documents (SPD)
The Shopfronts and Advertisements SPD (PDF 1.8Mb) provides detailed advice on good design practice for new and altered shop fronts and advertisements.
The Local Employment and Training SPD (PDF 612Kb) provides guidance and assistance to developers and end users of developments. It outlines how we intend to work with and support employers to maximise local employment and skills benefits from new developments.
The Open Space Provision and Commuted Payments SPD (PDF 1.5Mb) provides applicants seeking planning permission for housing with advice on what the requirements will be for providing open space. The Design of Residential Development SPD (PDF 462Kb) provides applicants for planning permission with a clear indication of our expectations. It also helps Development Control make consistent decisions on planning applications in relation to residential developments.
