Street trading, including food hawkers and mobile snack bars

We've adopted Schedule 4 of the Local Government (Miscellaneous Provisions) Act 1982. This means that street traders require an annual consent to trade.

Streets within the borough are designated either as:

  • prohibited for street trading or
  • as a consent street where trading is permitted. Traders must apply for street trading consent. This is determined by the appropriate council committee
