Street naming and numbering

1. Overview

Street naming and numbering is a statutory function. This means we are responsible for maintaining a good standard of street nameplates, naming and numbering schemes and improving standards where necessary.

The address of a property is important for the efficient functioning of the postal and emergency services as well as for the convenience and safety of the general public.

  • up to 5 properties - £60 per property
  • each property above 5 - £35 per property
  • naming a new street - £180
  • renaming existing property - £209
