Stockport Inclusion Service

The Inclusion Service is a specialist team that works in partnership with families and schools. The service helps schools and settings to meet the needs of vulnerable children and young people and those with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND).

Each school has a link inclusion lead who is supported by specialist teachers with backgrounds in:

  • social, emotional and mental health
  • cognition and learning

Schools are also supported by:

  • complex leads
  • Special Educational Co-ordinator (SENCO) leads
  • a restorative lead
  • social, emotional and mental health mentors

You can contact the service by speaking to your school SENCO. They’ll be able to advise you about the work that the team does to support your school.
