Transfer a taxi or private hire vehicle licence

You can use this form to transfer a taxi or private hire vehicle licence if you’re one of the current licence holders.

If there's another current licence holder, we'll contact them to get their approval before we transfer the licence.

Before you start

You'll need:

• the vehicle registration number
• the Stockport Council vehicle licence plate number
• the names and email addresses of the new licence holders

You’ll need to pay a transfer fee of £70.
