Contact the LADO

All new consultations and referrals with the LADO will be via our secure online portal using the link below.

The first time you use the portal you will be asked to create an account. You can then use your log-in details for all future consultations and referrals with the LADO.

The LADO service will aim to respond to your consultation/referral within one working day; although during busy periods the LADO may take slightly longer to respond to lower-level safeguarding concerns.

Submitting your concerns via the portal will ensure an accurate, accessible and transparent record is retained and an audit trail is created for you and the LADO. The portal will allow you to download a PDF copy of your consultation/referral for your records.

Before you start

Please check the allegation is about a person who works/volunteers with children in Stockport and the following criteria are met:

The person has allegedly:

• behaved in a way that has harmed, or may have harmed, a child
• possibly committed a criminal offence against or related to a child
• behaved towards a child or children in a way that indicates they may pose a risk of harm to children
• behaved or may have behaved in a way that indicates they may not be suitable to work with children

You’ll also need:

• the name, address and date of birth of the adult who the concern is about
• the name and address of their employer/voluntary organisation where they volunteer with children
• details of the child/young person you’re concerned about
• details of the allegation, including dates and what has happened so far
• any additional information such as incident reports and witness statements
