Change of circumstance form

You can use this form to:

  • tell us about a change in your circumstances that could affect your Council Tax or Housing Benefits.

Changes in your money:

  • you start or stop getting Income Support, Pension Credit (Guarantee credit and / or Savings Credit, or Jobseeker’s Allowance Income based)
  • an increase or decrease in the money you or your partner gets. Eg; wages or any other benefits, pensions, or allowances
  • an increase or decrease in the money your non-dependants get
  • any other changes in the money that anyone in your home receives. Eg: if a child starts getting Disability Living Allowance

Changes in your home:

  • change of address
  • the number of people in your home changes. Eg; a non-dependant leaves or joins
  • any of your children finish full time education
  • anyone in your home starts work
  • someone has a baby

Other changes:

  • you or your partner are admitted to hospital or a nursing home
  • the amount of rent you pay to a private landlord increases or decreases
  • you or your partner become a student
  • the amount of savings or capital you or your partner have increases or decreases

You don't have to tell us about changes in age. We already have this information.

Before you start

You'll need your:

  • Council Tax Support/Housing Benefit reference number if known. Your reference number enables us to process your change more quickly
  • National Insurance number
