Our network of SEND Champions is made up of passionate parents, carers and professionals who want to improve the experience of families and children with SEND, as well as celebrating good news and success.
We meet monthly with the SEND Community Inclusion Group, which is made up of voluntary and community organisations who are working hard to be as inclusive and accessible as possible.
At our meetings, we share information and updates about events that are taking place locally and opportunities for engagement. We also discuss gaps in services and challenges that parents face and work together to resolve them.
This can include:
- organising coffee mornings for parents
- designing and delivering training for professionals
- advocating for communities
- organising joint information events or awareness raising sessions

The group meets virtually every month and in person twice a year. You do not have to attend all of the meetings, but you can still share valuable information with others.
