Overview

If you're not happy that your child has not been offered free school transport, you can appeal. You can appeal to an Independent Appeals Panel.

The panel is made up of a pool of volunteers. They're independent of the local authority and the admissions service as required under the School Standard and Framework Act 1998.

Decisions made by the panel are independent from the admissions service, the school and the local authority.

Please note before you can appeal you must have had an internal review by the admissions team. If you have received a refusal letter, please contact the admissions team. They will then open a review before appealing to the Independent Appeals Panel.

The team can be contacted on 0161 217 6022 or at admissions.support@stockport.gov.uk.
