Trinity Gardens, Woodsmoor
We're delivering a package of highway works on Trinity Gardens and Bramhall Lane to support travel by sustainable modes, in particular walking, cycling and public transport. This includes improved accessibility for pedestrians and enhanced bus stop facilities.
The following works are planned on Trinity Gardens and Bramhall Lane from March 2026:
- installation of a new pedestrian crossings (dropped kerbs and tactile paving) on Trinity Gardens
- installation of a new pedestrian crossing (dropped kerbs and tactile paving) at the junction of Trinity Gardens and Bramhall Lane
- upgrades to two existing bus stops on Bramhall Lane to improve accessibility and passenger features (including bus shelters)
The works are planned to start the week beginning 2 March and will take approximately 3 weeks to complete. They'll be delivered in localised phases, planned and co-ordinated to manage disruption as much as possible. Traffic management will be used to ensure the work can be carried out safely and efficiently. Three-way temporary traffic signals will be in operation on Bramhall Lane on weekdays from 9:30am to 3pm. The affected bus stops will also be temporarily closed while they're being upgraded. Please see the bus stops for information about services.
Pedestrian access will be maintained throughout the works, although some footway closures may be required during the works. Signs will be provided to direct pedestrians to alternative safe routes.
A secure site compound and welfare facilities will be located on the grass verge and wide footway on Charlestown Road West. These facilities will be used sensitively with respect to residents and removed as soon as possible.
Thank you in advance for your patience and co-operation with our teams on site, who will be seeking to minimise disruption in the area. The works will predominantly take place during the daytime, Monday to Friday, with evening and weekend working only if required.
