Greek Street bridge replacement
As of 31 March 2025, Greek Street roundabout is closed to traffic until Spring 2026. This is during works by Network Rail to replace their bridge over the West Coast Main Line.
The roundabout will re-open on Friday, March 27 2026. You can find more information about this, including the key changes to the layout in our news article.
We're working closely with Network Rail, their contractors and Transport for Greater Manchester (TfGM) to review and manage the impact of the work on our residents and businesses.
You can find out more about the Greek Street bridge replacement project on Network Rail's project webpage. This includes diversion maps for motorists, buses, pedestrians and cyclists.
You can also get help planning your journey on the TfGM Bee Network website.
