2. Anonymous registration
Anyone who does not wish for their name to appear on the register can apply to their Electoral Registration Officer to be registered anonymously. This is different to opting out of the open register.
If you're registered anonymously a code will be added to the electoral register instead of your name and address.
To register to vote anonymously you need to provide documentary evidence of a court order. Alternatively, you need to provide an attestation from an authorised person to support your application.
