Hazel Grove and Bramall

Footpaths 41 and 46

We're making an order under Section 14 (1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended by the Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Act 1991.

We'll temporarily close footpaths 41 and 46 Hazel Grove and Bramhall, between Womanscroft Bridge and the stepping stones across the Lady Brook. Traffic signs to that effect are in place on or near the footpaths.

The order is necessary to allow work to repair the path. We expect that the maximum duration of the work will be 6 months.

Alternative routes will be from Footpath 41 Hazel Grove and Bramhall, crossing Womanscroft Bridge to the south of the Ladybrook, then east to the stepping stones. This is diversion 1.

There will also be a diversion for Footpath 46 Hazel Grove and Bramhall via Bridge Lane and Headlands Road. This is diversion 2.

The order will come into operation on the 15 of February 2025 and will have effect for 6 months, unless finished sooner.

Footpath 106

We've made an order under Section 14 (1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended by the Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Act 1991.

We’ll temporarily close part of Footpath 106 Hazel Grove and Bramhall, between Dellhaven and Old Hall Barn. Traffic signs to that effect will be in place on or near the footpath.

This order is necessary for cable laying works to take place. We expect that the maximum duration of the works will be 6 months.

This order came into operation on 10 October 2024 and will have effect for 6 months. If the works are completed within a shorter period, this order will cease to have effect at the end of that shorter period.

Footpath 50

We've made an order under Section 14 (1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended by the Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Act 1991.

We'll temporarily close footpath 50 (Hazel Grove and Bramhall) for the full length between Bramhall Park Road and footpath 51 (Hazel Grove and Bramhall). Traffic signs to that effect are in place on or near the said footpath.

This order is necessary to allow works by our contractors.

This order is to come into operation on 27 February 2025 and will have effect for 6 months.

Alternative routes will be provided from:

• the Western end of footpath 50 Hazel Grove and Bramhall north on footpath 51 (Hazel Grove and Bramhall) to Linney Road, then east to Bramhall Park Road and then south to the eastern end of footpath 50 (Hazel Grove and Bramhall)
