Footpath 47

We’re making an order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended by the Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Act 1991.

We'll temporarily close Footpath 47, Hazel Grove and Bramhall, between the entrance on Bridge Street to the bridge/footpath connecting to Harford Close. Traffic signs to that effect will be in place on or near the footpath.

This notice is issued due to a collapse of the footway making the route unsafe.

We estimate the works to last for a maximum of 21 days.

This notice shall be effective for 21 days from 3 October 2025. If all necessary works are completed within a shorter period, this notice shall cease to have effect at the end of that shorter period.

This order will come into operation on 24 October 2025 and will last for 6 months, unless works are completed sooner.

Footpaths 41 and 46

We're making an order under Section 14 (1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended by the Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Act 1991.

We'll temporarily close footpaths 41 and 46 Hazel Grove and Bramhall, between Womanscroft Bridge and the stepping stones across the Ladybrook, while traffic signs to that effect are in place on or near the footpaths.

The order is necessary to allow work to repair the path. We expect that the maximum duration of the work will be 6 months.

The following diversions will be provided:

  • diversion of Footpath 41: crossing Womanscroft Bridge to the south of the Ladybrook, then east to the stepping stones.
  • diversion of Footpath 46: via Bridge Lane and Headlands Road

The order will come into operation on 29 August 2025 and will have effect for 6 months, unless the work is finished sooner.

Footpath 50

We've made an order under Section 14 (1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended by the Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Act 1991.

We'll temporarily close footpath 50 (Hazel Grove and Bramhall) for the full length between Bramhall Park Road and footpath 51 (Hazel Grove and Bramhall). Traffic signs to that effect are in place on or near the said footpath.

This order is necessary to allow works by our contractors.

This order is to come into operation on 25 July 2025 and will have effect for 6 months.

Alternative routes will be provided from:

  • the Western end of footpath 50 Hazel Grove and Bramhall north on footpath 51 (Hazel Grove and Bramhall) to Linney Road, then east to Bramhall Park Road and then south to the eastern end of footpath 50 (Hazel Grove and Bramhall)
