Failure to comply with the directions under an Education Supervision Order
Parents/carers who fail to comply with directions given under an Education Supervision Order are guilty of an offence and can be liable to prosecution under Paragraph 18(1) of the Children Act 1989, Schedule 3.
The prosecution takes place in the Magistrates’ court and the maximum penalty is a £1000 fine.
