From Thursday 13th July to Wednesday 19th July, Daw Bank will be closed to traffic between the A6 Bridge and Mersey Square (24 hours a day) and a signed diversion route will be in place for traffic via Exchange Street and St. Peter’s Square.

Pedestrians will still be able to get along Daw Bank and access to properties will be maintained.

The wider route will mostly accommodate two lanes in each direction.

Before the A6 is closed, sections of St Marys Way and Hempshaw Lane are planned to be resurfaced overnight from Friday 30th June for two weeks. The resurfacing works will require St Marys Way and Hempshaw Lane to be closed to traffic in both directions between the junctions of Hempshaw Lane/Higher Hillgate and St Marys Way/Spring Gardens from 7pm to 6am.
