Monitoring performance
Our ambitions, cross-cutting themes and enabling programmes will be included in our portfolio performance and resources agreements. These agreements include clear measures that allow councillors and residents to monitor progress and performance.
We'll continue to report on measures and milestones to our scrutiny committees on a regular basis, making sure we provide clear and transparent accountability.
Making an impact on our One Stockport, One Future 5 big things
Progressing our Council Plan will support our wider One Stockport, One Future ambitions. As a partnership we have identified 2 big measures of success which we oversee through partnership reporting and summits:
- sustained reduction in inequalities: our aim by 20240 is that the gap in outcomes within and between our communities is reduced
- leading the way nationally: our aim by 2040 is to be in the top 10% nationally in areas such as employment, education, health and wellbeing
We believe that overall success can only be celebrated if we achieve these measures. Our Council Plan will contribute to progressing these. They won’t be achieved overnight. Achieving improvement will only come about through concerted action across all our priorities.
