I have worked for Stockport Council for almost 6 years, coming from a background of over 20 years of working in Events. My job is so varied, and I really enjoy the fact that I get to interact with a wide variety of managers across the council, external customers and stakeholders on a daily basis.

It is a busy and challenging environment, but also very rewarding, especially when we receive great customer feedback about how we made their large-scale event, such as wedding or NHS Awards ceremony, a success.
We have three amazing venues, that are all beautiful, historical and different to work in. I manage a fantastic diverse team and enjoy developing them and their career.
On a day to day basis my job entails budget management, forecasting, planning and carrying out large scale events, implementing rotas, recruitment and networking. No two days are ever the same!
