Assistant Team Manager: Working Age Mental Health

I have worked for Stockport council for nearly 5 years and think that it is a brilliant place to work.
During that time, my caseload was protected and I was supported with reflection and analysis of my practice. I then was supported to complete the practice educator course and to have a student social worker to share my knowledge but to also develop my leadership skills and qualities.
I then completed my POPP qualification to become a level 3 social worker in June 2022. Following this, I successfully secured the assistant team manager post. Stockport has been very supportive in my career progression and encouraged this throughout my years of employment. I hope to remain with SMBC for many years to come and to progress even further as experience allows.
