Anita and Julie’s story
You don’t have to be sporty, experienced, or a certain age to start moving. It’s never too late to try something new.
My mum had never stepped foot in a gym before, but at 60, she decided to give yoga a go. She wasn’t looking for a big lifestyle change, just something new to try. Three months later, she’s religiously going every week and the benefits have been incredible.
For her, it’s meant more energy, easing menopause symptoms, and feeling less stiff. She’s stronger, happier, and even finds it easier to open jars. It’s brought back childhood memories - she even tried doing the crab again - and given us plenty of laughs along the way. She’s also made new friends, something she never expected.
For me, yoga helps with anxiety, improves my sleep, and most importantly, gives me time with my mum.
You don’t have to be sporty, experienced, or a certain age to start moving. It’s never too late to try something new.
