  • any additional information as required under the council's Fair Access Protocol

What is the legal basis for using your information?

We are required to use your data to carrying out legal obligations or to comply with a statutory function.

In this instance the legislation that informs this processing is as follows:

  • School Standards and Framework Act 1998
  • School admissions code 2021

  • yourself

  • early years and childcare providers
  • schools

Who do we share your information with?

  • other local authorities
  • schools, colleges or other education providers
  • health services

How long will we keep your information?

  • primary school places retain from year records created until 2 years after the child is no longer of compulsory school age (5 to 16 years old)
  • secondary school places retain from year records created until 2 years after the child is no longer of compulsory school age (5 to 16 years old)

Transferring your information outside of the European Union (EU)

We will not transfer your information outside of the EU.
