  • share with educators to ensure suitable provision is available
  • provide schools with individual destination data of their pupils – OFSTED requirement
  • reduce the number of young people not in education, employment or training

  • name and contact details of you/parent/guardian/carer
  • unique learner and pupil numbers (ULN/UPN)
  • gender
  • date of birth
  • ethnicity (special category data)
  • health including SEND (special category data)

What is the legal basis for using your information?

  • UK GDPR Article 6(1)(e) for the performance of a public interest task which has a clear basis in law or in the exercise of official authority

This is detailed in legislation and guidance in the Education and Skills Act 2008. The council processes your Special Category Data as there is a substantial public interest in making sure young people are given the opportunity to be educated or trained, which will benefit them and the wider community.
