Electoral registration privacy notice

We collect your information to:

  • to produce the electoral register and the open register
    The electoral register is used for electoral purposes and may be used for other limited purposes such as:
  • detecting crime
  • calling people for jury service
  • checking credit applications
    The open register can be bought by any person, company or organisation and an elector's name will be included unless they ask for their name to be removed.

We are required to use your data to carrying out legal obligations or to comply with a statutory function

How long will we keep your information?

The Electoral Roll is kept in indefinitely.

Transferring your information outside of the European Union (EU)

We will not transfer your information outside of the EU.

Automated decisions using your information?

For this service all the decisions we make about you involve human intervention.
