What is the legal basis for using your information?
UK GDPR Article 6(1)(c) legal obligation.
UK GDPR Article 6(1)(e) for the performance of a public interest task which has a clear basis in law or in the exercise of official authority. This is detailed in legislation and guidance including Section 140, 222 and 223 of the Local Government Act 1972.
Our legal basis for processing your special category personal data in accordance with Article 9 of the UK GDPR is 9(2)(f) Legal claims and judicial acts.

How long will we keep your information?
We retain from the date claim settled for 6 years.
For potential claims involving minors, data will be retained until 3 years after their majority. For potential claims involving a person who lacks capacity, the data may be retained indefinitely or until the person retains capacity.
Transferring your information outside of the European Union (EU)
We may transfer your information outside of the EU.
