Healthy Start
If you’re more than 10 weeks pregnant or have a child under 4, and are on a low income, you may be entitled to get help to buy healthy food and milk through the Healthy Start scheme.
Having a healthy pregnancy
My Birth My Choice has lots of information about how to have a healthy pregnancy.
Smoking in pregnancy is harmful for you and your baby. If you smoke, you can get help to quit. Speak to your midwife.

Family Foundations
This is a 7 week antenatal course (4 weeks before birth, and 3 weeks after birth).
This course is for couples expecting their first baby together, including those intending to co-parent.
The course includes:
- preparing for and giving birth
- working together as parents
- learning new skills and techniques to strengthen your relationships
- coping with feelings and parental stress
- raising your baby

Antenatal class
This 1 hour and 25 minute pre-recorded class contains information for expectant parents.
