Overview
Parking fines may be issued when a vehicle is parked in contravention of the regulations. The level of fine is set nationally and is dependent upon the severity of the contravention. We aim to make paying or appealing a fine as simple as possible.
A higher charge of £70 (reduced to £35 if paid within 14 days) will be made for unlawful parking which causes the most disruption and danger to road users e.g. parking on a yellow line.
A lesser charge, £50 (reduced to £25 if paid within 14 days) will apply to less serious parking contraventions such as overstaying a pay and display ticket.
