Our priorities
Our all-age Autism Strategy mirrors the National Autism Strategy (2021 to 2026) and the Greater Manchester Autism Strategy (2022 to 2025) which focus on the following 6 key priorities:
Priority 1: Improving understanding and acceptance of autism
Priority 2: Improving autistic children and young people’s access to education, and supporting positive transitions into adulthood
Priority 3: Supporting more autistic people into employment
Priority 4: Tackling health and care inequalities for autistic people
Priority 5: Improving the housing offer and increase independent living opportunities
Priority 6: Improving support within the criminal and youth justice systems
