You can find many collections held by the Stockport Local Heritage Library in our online catalogue. This includes:
- archives
- books
- photographs
- many other types of materials
Our online catalogue is not a complete list of what we have. We’re constantly adding new items to the database, so make sure to check regularly. You can also find many paper catalogues to browse on site in the library whilst we work on uploading more records to the online database.
Search tips
You can use the search bar at the top of the online catalogue page for a simple text search. You can also use the drop-down menu to filter your search or click on ‘Advanced search’ for more detailed search options.
Archive collections are arranged according to the person or organisation who created the records. Within each collection you may find various series, files and items depending on the size and complexity of the collection.
The catalogue describes records but does not always show their full content. To see an item or collection, contact us and provide the reference number.
