Your chance to get connected!
Stockport Council and its partners are calling on local businesses to get involved in a new scheme that brings them together with local community groups and voluntary organisations
‘Sector Connector’ sees organisations from across Stockport come together to exchange ideas, support and expertise so that they can work together for a thriving Stockport.
The event, is an opportunity for representatives from the voluntary, charity, social enterprise and private sectors join forces and explore how they can support each other for mutual benefit.
This event is the second in the ‘Sector Connector’ series. There is no financial cost to those taking part - all that is required is that people spend a couple of hours exploring how unconventional partnerships can reveal new, unique benefits and opportunities such as, advice on marketing and access to venue space.
Councillor Amanda Peers, Cabinet Member for Inclusive Neighbourhoods at Stockport Council, said: “These events have been introduced to enable local businesses, community groups and other voluntary organisations to meet up and work together.
“Our communities are bursting full of ideas – and this scheme gives the chance for groups to develop new partnerships which, we hope, will lead to long lasting working relationships that will benefit all those involved.”
‘Sector Connector’, which is run in partnership by Stockport Council, Good Business Brokerage and Stockport Homes and takes place between 9.30am - 1pm on Wednesday 26 June 2019 at Offerton Community Centre, Mallowdale Road, Stockport, SK2 5NX. Pre-booking for the event is required.
