High blood pressure often has no symptoms, but it can increase the risk of heart attack, stroke and other serious health conditions. A simple blood pressure check could help identify problems early and support people to stay healthy.
Many of us know our age, but not our blood pressure numbers, making a quick and free check one of the easiest steps we can take to look after our health and to live well.
Councillor Helen Foster-Grime, Cabinet Member for Health, Wellbeing and Adult Social Care
Knowing your blood pressure is an important step towards looking after your long-term health. These free local checks are quick, easy and could help identify health issues before they become more serious. Through our Live Well approach, we're making it easier for people to access support in their communities and take positive steps to improve their health and wellbeing. By helping residents stay healthier for longer, we're supporting our shared ambition to make Stockport a healthier, happier place to live and work. I encourage everyone to take this opportunity to find out their numbers.
