Upcoming area committees and drop-in event to discuss Greater Manchester Spatial Framework
Local residents are being invited to attend their local area committees and to attend a drop-in event in December to learn more about the Greater Manchester Spatial Framework (GMSF) proposals.
The GMSF plan seeks to build 19,000 homes in the next two decades across Stockport, as well as bring new jobs and new infrastructure (such as transport links, utility networks, schools and health provision) required to achieve this.
Residents will have the opportunity to engage with Stockport Council staff during the following Open Forum sessions:
Werneth: Monday 12th December at 5.30pm at the Dining Room, Woodley Civic Hall.
Heatons & Reddish: Monday 12th December at 5.30pm at the Town Hall, Stockport.
Cheadle: Tuesday 13th December at 5.30pm at The Kingsway School, Foxland Campus, Foxland Road, Gatley.
Stepping Hill: Tuesday 13th December at 5.30pm at the Town Hall, Stockport.
Marple: Wednesday 14th December at 5.30pm at the Main Hall, Marple Senior Citizen's Hall.
Central Stockport: Thursday 15th December at 5.30pm at the Town Hall, Stockport.
Bramhall & Cheadle Hulme South: Thursday 15th December at 6pm at Woodford Community Centre, Chester Road, Woodford.

There will also be a GMSF drop-in event happening in the Stockport Town Centre on 7th December from 10am to 6.30pm at 9 Adlington Walk, Merseyway Shopping Centre (between Mothercare and the Post Office).
