Stockport families can enjoy a jam-packed Easter, with free and low-cost fun across the borough

Last updated: 10 April 2026

Stockport is bursting with inclusive family-friendly Easter activities this year, with most of them free or low-cost, so there’s plenty to keep children busy, active, and entertained throughout the holidays.

Easter doesn’t have to be expensive, and there are lots of ways to enjoy time together without stretching the budget. From exploring the borough’s beautiful parks and green spaces to joining creative sessions at local libraries, there’s something for everyone. Whether it’s a nature trail, a hands-on craft workshop, or a picnic in the spring sunshine, families can make the most of the season together.

Stockport’s museums are bursting with seasonal trails, creative workshops, and hands-on craft sessions that let children explore, learn, and get creative. Libraries are hosting pop-up craft sessions, Storytimes, and seasonal activities, making them a hub of Easter fun. Heritage venues, from Bramall Hall to Staircase House and Hat Works, are opening their doors to interactive trails, family workshops, and drop-in creative sessions that bring history to life for all ages.

At Stockroom, children and young people can make Easter hats and bunny ears, join youth nights, or take part in Lego Club sessions, offering something for every age. Families can also head into the town centre on 2 April for Easter-themed crafts in Merseyway — a fun way to keep little hands busy while out and about.

You can find a wide range of inclusive activities and events on our SEND and ND events calendar including arts and crafts, inclusive sports and play groups. You can also join Stockport's SEND community and get updates by following the Stockport SEND Local Offer Facebook page.
