Stockport Events celebrate first ever Wedding Fayre at Stockport Town Hall
Hundreds of couples descended on Stockport last Sunday for the first-ever-in-house Wedding Fayre at Stockport Town Hall.
Hosted by Stockport Events, Stockport Council’s new team that look after venues of distinction across the borough, the Fayre saw over 500 visitors come to plan their dream wedding.
And such was its success, which saw 50 stalls, 2 catwalks shows and live entertainment in the Grand Ballroom, the event has now been booked to return in October.
Councillor David Sedgwick, Stockport Council’s Cabinet Member for Reform and Governance, said: “Stockport Events have excelled themselves once again in putting on a successful event in what is arguably Stockport’s most impressive venue.
“It was great to see so many couples marvel at the stunning Town Hall whilst also seeing so many exhibitors showing off their goods and services at our first-ever-in-house Wedding Fayre.
“The Stockport Events team took a chance in hosting their own fayre but they have proved once again that they are putting our venues on the map, which is why it is fantastic to learn that we will be hosting a Wedding Fayre once again in October.”
The next Wedding Fayre will take place on Sunday 21st October from 11am until 3pm at Stockport Town Hall, which is also available to hire as a wedding venue.
