Stockport Council online tools win iNetwork Awards
Stockport Council’s digital transformation programme and the development of new online tools have earned us two iNetwork Awards.
Stockport Council’s digital transformation programme has earned us the iNetwork ‘Effective Service Redesign and Reform Award’ as well as the ‘Partner Excellence Award’ for our collaboration with LookingLocal, to create the BetterOff Stockport website.
Councillor David Sedgwick, Cabinet Member for Reform and Governance at Stockport Council, said: “This is great news for Stockport residents and I would really encourage people to sign up for our award-winning online services. ‘My Account’ and ‘BetterOff’ are great examples of how we are redesigning council service delivery, creating digital tools that meet the needs of our residents and save the council money.”
The BetterOff website has an online Benefits calculator to find out what you are entitled to, advice on claiming Benefits and help to submit application forms. There’s lots of help to find work too including a jobs database, a Journal to record search activity in a form that is accepted for Universal Credit by Job Centre Plus and advice on applying for jobs, CV’s and interviews.
My Account is a secure personalised way to access your council services, all in one place, anytime it suits you. You can manage your Council Tax information and payments, download your Housing Benefit and Council Tax Support information and view when your next payment is due, keep track of bin collections, manage appointments and more.
All our new online services work on mobile phones, tablets and computers so you can find out everything you need anywhere you are online.
If you don’t have access to the internet or you need more help our staff at Stockport libraries can show you how to get started and help you to submit your applications using the free public access computers.
